If you're flying into NY, we recommend landing at JFK or LGA. For smaller flights, you can sometimes fly into MacArthur Airport in Islip, but JFK and LGA will have more consistent and reliable trips.
The easiest and most flexible option will be to drive out to the Hamptons. If you're flying in, we suggest renting a car for the weekend. If you're driving from either airport, please see the directions below!
From LaGuardia to East Hampton
If you're taking the LIRR, head out from Penn Station or Grand Central Station. You can purchase a ticket for the Montauk line, and get off at the East Hampton stop. The ride is about 2.5 hours from NYC.
If you'd like to take the Hampton Jitney, you can check their bus stop locations and see which is most convenient for you.
If you're coming from either airport (LGA/JFK) Hampton Jitney can pick you up at the Queens Airport Connection, which is a 10-15-minute drive from LaGuardia Airport and 20-25 minutes from JFK, depending on traffic. You can book your round-trip tickets here. If your return flight is out of the same airport, you can select your return dropoff at the "Queens Airport Connection - Westbound".
The East Hampton stop is located right on Main Street (also called Montauk Highway or Route 27), and it would be a 10 minute Uber or taxi to most hotels and accommodation locations.
2.5 to 3-hour drive depending on traffic
We highly recommend renting an AirBnb or VRBO in East Hampton, Springs, Sagaponack or Amagansett. This is a great option for families or friend groups who want to spend the weekend and even travel together.
